Malga Valbiolo

Malga Valbiolo Mountain Hut is a charming, sun-drenched alpine hut situated at an altitude of around 2,244 metres on the Trentino side of Passo Tonale, directly opposite the peaks of Presena Glacier. Renowned for its lively, family-friendly atmosphere, it boasts a large panoramic terrace and a restaurant serving delicious traditional dishes. In summer, it is a much-loved destination for families, thanks to the easy hikes and the charming marmots that inhabit the meadows, whilst in winter it serves as a central meeting point for skiers.

New for winter 2026–2027! From this winter, getting to the refuge will be even easier and more comfortable. The historic chairlift has been replaced by a modern cable car. The lift’s new top station will be situated slightly higher than before, dropping passengers off right next to the refuge.
