Marmot Park at Tonale Pass

2018Mauro Mariotti RIC 0338

At an altitude of 2,244 metres, among the meadows of Valbiolo at Tonale Pass, the Marmot Park is a high-altitude route dedicated to children and their families. It is not just a simple playground: its 7 stations are spread out among the trees and offer slides, wooden playhouses, tunnels and a hand-operated water mill. The park also offers an interactive experience: together with Tino the little marmot, young explorers can follow a story stage by stage, discover the animals and secrets of the mountain, listen to audio descriptions and take part in quizzes. To reach the park from Tonale Pass, you need to take a pleasant walk of about an hour. A few metres away is Malga Valbiolo, featuring a bar, a restaurant and a panoramic terrace overlooking the Presena Glacier and the surrounding peaks.
