PONTEDILEGNO-TONALE: THE CHARME OF NATURE AND HISTORY

The many walks and excursions in Pontedilegno-Tonale will allow you to spend hours surrounded by the unspoilt nature of the Alps. Our area is home to some of the most beautiful Natural Parks like the Adamello Natural Park, the Stelvio National Park and the Adamello Brenta Nature Park. This is the perfect place for walking and for cycling, whether you are a couple or a family with children.

Among imposing peaks with perennial snow, thick coniferous forests and meadows full of flowers, sparkling streams and small villages where time seems to have stopped, whatever your discipline, your level and your experience you will find the perfect itinerary to live your passion to the fullest.

Adamello and Presanella: on the roof of the Alps

Adamello and Presanella

3539 and 3558: these is the height of the Adamello and Presanella peaks, two great classics of mountaineering, two "ice cliffs", as a well-known explorer defined them. Theatre of some of the most important events of the First World War - which is not surprisingly called the White War here - the Adamello and the Presanella today offer everyone the opportunity to live a unique mountain experience.

In the summer season, the Pontedilegno-Tonale area has a functional network of beautiful and comfortable alpine refuges and ski lifts that quickly lead to high altitudes. Among the latter, the Presena cable car takes you from 2,585 meters of Passo Paradiso to 3,000 meters of Passo Presena in just seven minutes. For those looking for a high altitude trip, this is an authentic front row seat to admire Adamello, Lobbie, Presanella and Pian di Neve (the largest glacier in the Italian Alps); for sports enthusiasts, the starting point for one of the most evocative via ferratas, the Sentiero dei Fiori, famous for the two aerial walkways which were rebuilt exactly where there were those used by soldiers during the Great War.
