Passo Tonale
On the border between Lombardy and Trentino Alto Adige surrounded by the Adamello-Presanella, Ortles Cevedale and Brenta Mountain Ranges, Passo Tonale is an open and panoramic natural amphitheatre that ranges from 1,884 to 3,100 metres above sea level.
An excellent winter tourism location Passo Tonale has always been able to ensure an extremely long snow season given the nearby Presena Glacier. Completely exposed to the sun Passo Tonale is the ideal place to learn how to ski with slopes suitable for beginners and experts alike. From the legendary pista nera Paradiso, 3 km in length and with a vertical drop of 710 metres, to the long and panoramic pista dell'Alpino with its 4,500 metres in length and 725 metre vertical drop.
Absolutely not to be missed is the longest ski slope from Presena-Tonale-Ponte di Legno: 11 Km of slopes with a 1,740 metre vertical drop to do all in one go!
In the summer Passo Tonale is the ideal departure point for walks, Alpine excursions and trips by mountain bike.
The Paradiso and Presena cable cars that go right to the glacier are also open in the summer months for all Climbers and those that want to try an excursion at a high altitude.
